Hello everyone

I am beginning projectto write a fan book about earlydays of Galactic Civilizations universe, War of the Arnor. I hope to finish it before release of offical "Tales of the Arnor"  DLC. Here is a draft.

War of the Arnor

Part 1

Book begins soon after the banishment of Kona after his betrayal by Draginol, Draginol escape from Arnor and destruction of the first Arnor Empire. Arnor and Dark Arnor made a strained peace and began to use their powers, combined by 5 Shards of Tellenath that were altered using Orb of Dominion, to create great achievements, including first starships. Using them, they begin to travell across the galaxy. After some time, they detect life on other planets. Both sides plan to use these life forms to their goals. But, while Arnor plan for this to benefit everyone, Dark Arnor plan to use them and then kill them.

Tandis discovers a planet inhabitated with species of great navigational capabilities. He steers their evolution into sientence, and then reveals himself to them. He proposes to them to become crews of Arnorian ships, and they accept. Tandis brings entire species to Arnor, where they are soon employed as crew of all Arnor ships. Their abilities includes detecting subspace streams, which allows faster travel across space. Arnor uses this to explore the galaxy.

Dark Arnor quickly steal this secret. Unable to make the Navigators work for them, they create machines capable of detecting subspace streams without the Navigators. Using one stream, they find an oceanic planet full of many sub - sientent species. They choose one and kill the others, uplift it to full sentence and enslave them, making them crews of their own species. These are the Torians.

On a distant planet, Kona’s presence causes the evolution of a new species, the Drengin.

Part 2

Tandis uses a subspace stream to discover a muddy planet with a sientent species that already formed a civilization. Encouraged by his success with the Navigators, he secretly alters them, making them naturally cooperative with each other. After this helps the Iconians to develop their own advances civilization, Tandis reveals himself to them and they enter his servitude.

However, Anor’s leadership questions Tandis’s actions. After some time, he orders him to release the Iconians. After Tandis protests, they allow him to have Iconians build robotic servants to serve both them and Arnor. The Iconians build many robots and name them the Yor, which mean “these who serve without will”.

Hovewer, when all of this reach the Dark Arnor, they are enraged. They send secret agents to the Iconians, requesting their alliegience. The Iconians refuse. In response to that, Dark Arnor produce Spark of Life, and gives it to the Yor, and biological virus tailored to the Iconians. The Yor gain sientence by the Spark of Life and unleash the virus on the Iconians, then proceed to exterminate the remaining population of Iconia. The robots retain their name, in mockery of their creators.

Tandis is outraged. After he evacuated all remaining Iconian population in Iconia system (but not on Iconia itself, as entire population of the planet was wiped out, with just the Yor remaining) to three ships of his fleet, he orders the Navigators to take them to another planet with similar bio-conditions as Iconia, he orders Navigators aboard other ships in his fleet to attack all Dark Arnor targets in range. He deposit the surviving Iconian on the planet. They name the Dark Arnor as the Dread Lords, a name Tandis and his Navigators adopts. He then returns to Iconia to exterminate Yor population of the planet. Hovewer, Dread Lords already sent a fleet and established a blockade around Iconia. Tandis prepares for battle, but is contacted by other Arnor. They order him to return to Arnor, as a Dark Energy spike was detected on a planet on another side of a substance stream that begins at Arnor. Reluctantly, Tandis orders his fleet to abandon Iconia and return to Arnor.

Part 3

Tandis arrives at the planet and find Dread Lords ships in orbit. Knowing that he will be detected soon, and having established existence of primitive (medieval - level) civilizations there, he orders the Navigators to deposit him on the planet and them leave.

Tandis learns that there are two species on the planet: one dragon - like Drath and another calls themselves humans, suspiciously similar in looks to Arnor (and Dread Lords). They also has similar innate abilities to Arnor, but much weaker (but power levels worries across individuals). He realized that Dread Lords has seized control of several nations and began modifying them, enhancing their abilities and even cross - breeding them with Drath, creating the Fallen race. He also discovers a few unchanged Tellenath Shards on the planet. He finds where Crugen, leader of Dread Lords on the planet, lives. He decides that the only way to stop him is to help the humans to resist him. More Arnor come and help him.

Soon, a war between Crugen’ s Empire and Kingdom supported by Tandis erupts. The conflict decimate the already weak Drath. However, just as Tandis is about to win, Draginol awakens and devastates the planet. Crugen is killed, and Tandis unites all real humans in defeating Draginol and expelling him off - planet. He then relocate Drath to another planet.

Above the Arnor, Dread Lords and Arnor fight a desperate battle, including the entire Dread Lords fleet and most of the Arnorian fleet. Tandis decides to sacrifice one of the changed Shards and travels to Kation, where he creates a device that allows him to relocate all Dread Lords ships to the Pocket Universe it created, them seal them off. Tandis hides the key to activate this artifact on Ixith. However, Draginol interferes, creating a holocron about Ixith and imprisoning Tandis on another planet, Ai’lur. He then leaves. Tandis remains imprisoned until, many years later, he is released by Colonel Jenna Casey of the Terran Alliance.

I will publish fragments as I will write it. Feedback of all types is appreciated.
