Cant upload mods

Published on Monday, November 27, 2023 By Alien_exterminator In GalCiv IV Support

I made some mods but can't seem to upload them. I type in the title, description, and attach the zip file. As soon as i click upload it removes the attached file and gives me an error "file is required to upload a mod". If I try uploading without even attaching a file in the first place something different happens. I just get a message saying "please select a file". It must know that I've selected a file but either isn't uploading it or is deselecting it during the upload process. It's almost like the form clears the field before it has actually submitted the file

I am logged in when I try and the file is a .zip file

Things I've tried that didn't work:

- Using different browsers (chrome, firefox, edge)

- Restarting my computer

- Using a different device to see if maybe my computer was the issue.

- Waiting for a while in case it hadn't fully uploaded

- Downloading a different compression software to create the file

- Using different compression encoding types to create the zip file

I've seen another post here that someone else has the same problem

What am I doing wrong? Does the form only accept a zip file encoded in a specific way?

I checked the mime type of my zip file and it's application/zip. When I inspect element on the upload page application/zip is listed as an accepted type so I don't know why it's happening
