Subspace Gate Issues Under 2.01

The screen snapshot below shows that there are 50 ships from many different AI civilizations stacked-up on a subspace gate. I am only at war with one of them (the Baratak Grove), but the only thing I can do to attack them is to use a missile volley or a beam volley against the top ship in the stack. The only way to get a Baratak ship to the top is to slowly click on the stack to make the game rotate through the ships in the stack until a Baratak ship is on top, then I can attack that ship with a missile or beam volley. If you click too fast, the game thinks you did a double-click and it displays the properties of the top ship in the stack. This game mechanic is incredibly bad for a number of reasons:
- Nowhere else in the game do you allow ships from different civilizations to occupy the same cell. Why in the world would you allow it to happen on a subspace gate cell? You even allow ships from civilizations that are at war with each other to be in the supspace gate cell together. WHY???
- Why do you make players click through these huge stacks to get to the ship that they want to attack? Why not let them click on the ship they want moved to the top of the stack in the stacked ship management screen (shown below)? That would be soooo much easier!
- Why do you not allow players to do a normal attack (not just a volley attack) against the top ship or fleet in the stack? The way it is now, I cannot attack a Baratak ship unless I declare war against every civilization that has a ship in the stack. WHY???
I know I have ranted about this topic in the past under previous versions but, here we are in version 2.01, and you still have not fixed it. Why not???
