Suggestions for improvement

My brief observations after a few games on genius difficulty, and some ideas. don't take the criticism too harshly, overall this is a fun game.
-Diplomacy rigth now is lacking and the diplomacy events seem to be quite random (and quite often duplicated-ie same event from different civs in the same turn). Where are the treaties? They should be available at early
-other type of war than total war would be nice. So some war to release the steam without completely killing the other.
-Ai surrendering its assets to an ally is not realistic. They just transfered planets already at siege.
-if there is no way to flip AI starbases on your territory at least allow me to tax them heavily, like 50% of the resource would come to my treasury
-Ai doesn't defend against influence push, too easy to get their planets
-please consider slowing down colony rush. right now I just see it a must have strategy. Some mechanics would be nice (like stellaris influence)
-a soft cap on starbases would be nice to make starbase placement more strategic instead of just spamming them.
-Would be nice to have some zone of control/warp interdictor etc technology for better territorial control
-Anomalies in their current form seem to be overpowered. while my empire early-mid game brings me a few coins, my flagships generate 4-500 gold every few turns
-I think tech-trading should be off by default and the game should be balanced on this setting. Even without trading the tech pace is very fast, and apparently it's easy to outpace the AI at this (genius) difficulty.
-AI colony management could be improved. Watching the conquered planets they are quite messy,
-IMO ship speed is a bit too much. Capital ships could be made slower than frigates for example.
-IMO the individual citizen system while nice touch it doesn't add too much to the game, but increase micro
-IMO replacing governors shouldn't give loyality minus
