Invisible Galaxy map objects.

I am not seeing any of the objects on the galaxy map. All the other screens work just fine. I am running this on an older laptop but it's Windows 10 and my graphics driver is up to date.

Anyone else experiencing this? None of the graphics setting changes make any difference.

Update: This same issue can be seen in Gal Civ 3 if I run full resolution with AA on (all good with AA off). However, with AA off in Gal Civ 4 it makes no difference. I am also not given any resolution options other than the default in Gal Civ 4.
