Is there a encyclopaedia function in the game?

Hi there... I'm confused about a lot of things in GC4... like for example I got a mission to build a city improvement but it needed a special resource... but I couldn't find any information on that resource.. like is it from a planet as in I need to colonise a planet with it, do you mine it from space using a space station? Another example was a mission where I need to scan planets... but there was no information on how to do that. My survey ship would just dock at the planet not scan it.

I know there is a search in the research tab... but it does not list all the other things.

TL;DR : Is there a good wiki around or a in game encyclopaedia I missed in the UI? Like with information on the various resources and how the systems work under the hood like exactly how production values work and other such things.
