map filters

Would it be possible for the devs to add a filter to only show planets, influence rings and ships on the map? When I'm engaged in a war there is too much information on the screen at once so it is difficult to see where my ships are or enemy ships. The ability to toggle the info on and off quickly would go a long way to add clarity to the user interface.
