Influence Question

There must be something I do not understand about influence.  Can someone take a look at the following screen snapshot and explain how the Drath Freehold, who just successfully invaded one Class 4 planet, suddenly has the dominant influence over so many cells when I, playing as the Mimot Brotherhood, control every planet except 3?  Prior to the invasion of the Class 4 planet I had dominant influence over every cell.
