Oddity When Victory Is Achieved

I clicked to go to the next turn, clicked OK for getting 50 research, then the screen went black.  I could move the cursor around the screen, but it was completely black.  I then hit the "Escape" key to see if I could get to the main menu and the normal universe screen appeared with the Victory! window (see below). It seems that there is a logic bug that prevents anything from being displayed when victory is achieved until the escape key is hit.
